The term 'minimalism' was created for an art form that did not want to be painting nor sculpture but ended up being a bit of everything. The british critic Richard Wollheim employed first in 1965 as a reference to the radical rationalism promoted by the new tendencies in art. Since then, this term has grown and evolved til being applied everywhere, architecture to start with.
Minimalism can be considered as the contemporary artistic current utilizing the elemental geometry of forms. For it is form that establishes a close relationship with the sorrounding space.
